DS650 Steering Problems----bump-steer
#1
I have a serious problem with my 2001 DS650 steering. It has serious bumpsteer on trails and uneven paths. I have rode a few others that did not have the same problem. I do not know what the front end alignment specs are. I have the factory front tires and they are still in good shape with alot of wear left. Does anyone have any easy solutions on how to fix this with out buying new a-arms? Thanks. Scott

I had the same problem. Did a search in the forum and found this site for help: http://home.swbell.net/tharthun/home...nsionsetup.htm
The difference was night and day when the suspension is set-up correctly. Also this month ATV SPORT magazine has a really good article on suspension set-up (bump steer and stuff).
Reading it really opened my eyes up for things to try (like increasing the toe out to 1/2" or 5/8" instead of the 1/8" you'll read in the web link above)
Have fun:
