Wow, anyone who was at Dumont over Thankgiving may have seen the 2 A-10 planes flying around on sunday. Apparently they crashed on wednesday and now USAF is grounding all planes for a day of safety training. Here's the quote from CNN.

On Wednesday two A-10 Thunderbolt II jets collided over the Nevada Test and Training Range northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada, killing one pilot. The other pilot ejected and was not hurt.

 

thew a-10s make flybyes almost every morning... i think its our alarm clock when we camp. but it is a crazy site to watch them drop down teh face of a dune, scream past you overhead and drop into the canyon to the north

 

the jets used to buzz our camp in superstition mnts. it was awsome....
