ok there is this kid next door and he thinks he is cool becaise he can beat me in a drag. I really don't care , i have alot done to my 300ex and it is not slow but it is not fast. He said i should be ashamed to race it. I know for a fact i could beat him on a MX though. But how do you guyys think that i can beat this kid. Like what stuff should I get?Thanks.

 

If you have a 330 kit and the works you can beat a stock 400ex in a drag race don't know about a stock Z400 though for sure.

On a mx track alot has to do with the rider well even with drag racing, you can have the fastest bike but if you don't know how to ride very well, you will lose.

 

hey in order to beat the z400 get a 400ex or like pleasure said 330 kit with more mods to it. my own .02

 

its hard to bead a quad thats a class above your own, but wit the rite mods and some good skills you should be able to beat him out on the track

I can hang with 400ex's out on the track and i have very few mods at this point; skills have a lot to do with it

 

You would have to spend a lot on suspension to beat a 400 on a track. My 300ex with pipe/kn/jetting is as fast a 400ex in a straight line, but on trails or a track the wider and better suspended 400 just blows me away.

 

Get a chain and hook his axle to a post. If you leave enough slack so he hits the end of the chain when he hits third gear, you won't hear any more from him about whose quad is fastest. Seriously though, enjoy your ride and improve your skills, and don't worry about that jerk. Just like you have beaten other quads before he beat you, he will lose to someone with a newer, faster machine soon, like the first time he takes on a Cannondale or Raptor. He who has the most fun wins the race of life.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Gee whiz to beat a quad with a 115cc displacement DISadvantage. Wow what's next, is he going to start picking on the kids in your neighborhood with minis? This guy sounds like a real prince. Remember there is ALWAYS someone faster.

I am building a 350x for it so you can borrow my engine for a couple of days if needed[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]. Bolts right in and most people wouldn't know the difference (except when you kick it over). I promise it won't loose to a stock Z400. I have outran 440ex's with it. With stock swingarm it will flip you backwards in fifth before you even know it.

Does he weigh less than you? if he does theres another disadvantage. But also that means you can whip his **** so he will shut up. If you want to be able to beat him in a drag race just figure out how to get 34 hp or so, get a 390 kit, or N2O.
