28`s fit 700??
#1
Hi, I was wondering what do I have to do to put 589 mud tires 28x11x12`s rear and 28x9x12 ft`s on the Polaris 700-03 ?? or should I go with 27`s ?? I don`t want to put a lift kit in making the cv`s break etc...Thanks in advance

I have a cousin you put 28" 589's on his sp500, his front tires would rub a little so he put the spacers in front springs and this solved the problem. Though he now wishes he'd gone with smaller tires. He is not overjoyed with the added center of gravity and has gone through numerous belts with the larger tires.

I would go with the 27s just to be on the safe side. And you shouldnt need a lift. My friend with a 700 is running 28" vamps in fornt with very little rubbing, after he moved the floorboards back. In the back you have a the room in the world.

I will be putting 27's on my '03 Sp 600 Twin but not till I wear out the Raw hides first and they seem to be durable tires.....ride on

I have 27" vampires on mine, with no problem. Be sure to get the rim size right, due to the rear disc brake. You have to order 4 front rims, not 2 front and 2 rear (like the sp500). The front rims will give you the correct offset for the rear brake assembly, and also keeps my 27x12x12's tucked under! Hope this helps!
