i was at the river today and i draged raced a stock z and a kfx with a fmf titanium with a header bomb thing. some how they could both beat me. i can understand the kfx beating me with the pipe but not a stock z. it seems like they were getting me off the start real fast, but it the higher gears i could stay with them. they would just be a quad length in front of me. and the kfx was smoking everythink it beat two banshees. does anyone know why the stock z kept beating me?

I agree with Bartlett, it all depends on the rider.

 

Are you jetted properly? It could be that or just that you aren't as good as them, or a combination.

 

Next time, switch bikes and see what happens.

If he beats you twice,,,,you are the problem.

 

the one is stock i have rode it before, we are about the same skill level. i think its my jetting. i never did get it quite dialed in.

 

well went and raced them again today and the results were better. i did alot better, i guess i just wasn't paying attention, but the kfx is still fast. i want to find out how to get mine that fast. is the fmf titanium really that good?

Gear it down, drop a tooth on the front or go up on the back or a combination.

 

If the other guys were running stock tires thats why they are beating you. After market tires add some weight and dont have the hook up the stockers do. my buddy has a yoshi and holeshots on his Z and my other buddies is stock and the piped one gets beat. My buddy on the piped one is also a way better rider. Its all because of the tires.
