Default Will Polaris have an answer for the Kawasaki V Force 700

I can't believe that Kawasaki built my dream quad, I hope Polaris comes out with a similiar model something like a 700 Scrambler 2x4. That would be great the Kawasaki sounds awesome to me but there's one problem it's not a Polaris. My dealer says he was out at the factory about two weeks ago and they told him there working on alot of new things for the future I can't wait.

I think they need to put the 600 VES snowmobile engine on a quad. The only real problem that I see with a twin is the space needed side by side. The 700 does have an advantage being a v-twin like that. I'm afraid if Polaris makes a quad to compete it would be a similar motor design. I wouldnt mind seeing a big 600cc 2-cycle thumper auto. Dont think it would ever happen due to the good people at the EPA. Keep in mind the 400 Polaris 2-cycle actually is only 378cc. Bumping it to 500 would be a huge difference. Not to mention it could have a good pipe and clutching from the factory. Either that or stay good with the friendly EPA and build the 600+cc 4-stroke single. Only time will tell. LONG LIVE 2-STROKES!!!!!! Bubba

Even if Polaris does make a Scrambler 700, I don't see it being as powerful, as light or as sporty as the Kawasaki. If they were going to do it, they should have gotten it to the market before Kawasaki.

I dont see any reason why it couldnt be as light or sporty. The standard Scramblers have steel everything. I doubt that someone is going to be on an MX track with the 700. I think it wont have a good purpose, just like what people badmouth about the Scrammys.

I too, would like to see a 700 something Scrambler. I never would have imagined it before but with this new Kaw coming? Polaris may just come back with a reply or maybe not. I don't believe though that it would be a top seller. It would probably only fit a very small niche in the market. With that said, a limited production might be worth their wild.

Bubba,
Is the Mrs. 97 Virago the special edition?

Elroy, it was given to my wife by her father as a result of a divorce. It is a 750 and is nothing special I guess. They do look good with lots of chrome and it has the white and black tank. Looks cool, but not as good as my old Suzuki triple.LOL. Bubba

If they do decide to get into a project like that I think they would need a whole new engine. The 700 twin currently produced is just not a sporty engine. And I dont think that they can do enough to it to make it one.

Just give me a 400 2-stroke with a manual 5 speed, and set it on a Predator, and watch me ride it with a big grin on my face Just think the technology is already out there to make these motors run. So just change the bottom end to a 5 speed, and keep the top the same, and we would have one mean running 2-stroke!

Yeah I heard that if they offered the predator with an optional 400 2 stroke I'd be sold, 2 STROKES RULE
