Sportsman 90 lights?
#3
I put a light kit on my grandaughters artic cat 90. The kit consists of a headlight and tail light. I got it from the little light company in Arizona. They do have a web page. I don't have it with me but let me know if you need it.
The lights were about 30min installation. Really work well. We rode about 4 hours during the day with the light on just to see how long the battery would hold. After this time the battery gave up and we had to kick start. However, after about two more hours of riding with the light off the battery was recharged and we went another 3 hours at night.
The light we purchased was for a lt80 and mounts on the handlebar brackets. All I had to do was grind off a little of the edges to make the bracket fit. Simple installation. We are well satisfied and it really lights the way.
I can send pictures and the web page if you can't find it.

I bought a rectangular light kit at harbor frieght tool co. paid less than $20 dollars for the set they are 55 watt lights but the reason I like them is because they mounted in the factory holes on the front bumper no drilling at all and they look almost the same as the factory plastic ones.Mounted a blue L.E.D switch I bought at AUTOZONE $5 and mounted it in the headlight podmand ran the wires straight to the battery. The lights are very bright and will get junior out of a jam if he needs lights at dusk, however about 20 min. is all that I would suggest burning them before I would shut them off and let the battery build back up some while letting the motor run.

I have wanted to add lights to my sons Honda 90, but there is no power. Is there a way of adding somthing to give power, and I can put a small batt under the seat?

I put a set of lights on my sportsman 90 and haven't had any problems with them. I bought a set of 20watt oval fog lights from walmart. They fit perfectly in the existing holes no drilling. The switch that came with the lights was an led switch and with the lights being connected straight to the battery the light on the switch was on all the time so I bought a rocker switch switch from autozone. We have only ridden with them on for about an hour so I don't know if they will run down the battery. I have a buddy with the same set up on his sportsman 90. The dealer he bought his quad from told him not go over 25 watt bulbs and the 20 watts were the closet we could find. I'm also going to get an led light from radio shack for a tail light they use minimal power and should be sufficient light if mounted in the taillight.
