Honda Generators
#1
Just bought a Honda EU3000is generator---what a sweet little machine!! It is QUIET, compact, and the rpm responds to the current load. I always hate camping when somebody runs some noisy generator all night and makes everybody else miserable. If they do, I send the kids over to ride around their camp at 6:00 the next morning.

Oh no, they would be riding around me. I have one of those noisy briggs.
The Honda's are deluxe no doubt.

Honda generators are very nice. We have an EX 1000 for our office (use on construction sites etc), that is nearly 20 years old and have nevver had a hitch with it. Super quiet, only change the oil and plug every now and then. This thing has literally thousands of hours on it and still runs like a champ.

I just bought a used 4600 watt yamaha generator. It is about a year old and I give $1000 for it. I have a 4400 watt with a briggs engine and after using the yami, I am ready to throw that noisy thing away. I didn't price a new one. Was $1000 about right?

We have a 350EX honda generator for our camp. It basically will just run some lights and a radio but we've had it for 6 years and still runs strong. We are looking at upgrading to a newer, bigger honda model. It is deffinently worth the extra cash and get a honda. They just run so quiet and are compact.

I think you should all feel lucky that you dont have a 1977 diesel. its a 2 cylinder with glow plugs. I have never seen anything like it and I am not sure the manufacture due to the 5 inches of sludge on it. I bought it for $300 and I believe that the windings are rated for 6000 watt according to the junk yard I bought it from. Anyways I use keroseen, diesel and just about any other fuel I can find. I use it for my sled trailer and when I start it up it clouds up a three block radius. by the way its for sale if anyones interested. works great if you have a respirator.
