What do you actually get in a K&N Jet Kit? Do you just get a needle and some jets? What makes these better than stock. Do you actually get that much more power from this kit? I'm thinking on getting one for my Stock 400EX.

 

Just a couple of dyno jets and needle. Dont know about the power increase with just a jet kit. I added my kit with a UNI filter and took the lid off.

Me too!! I noticed quite abit of difference in power with my UNI and jet kit.

 

Not too many people are aware of this fact but there is only one company that makes jet kits, other people than put their names on the product but all these jet kits are the same!!

 

I noticed more throttle response in ALL ranges with my K&N Power Up Kit. It really woke the quad up, much more than just the pipe itself. Also, the quad starts MUCH easier, even when it's cold out, because the jetting is correct. It's definitely a good mod.

All your gain is from the filter, jet kit is kind of a sham. They sell you a few jets you can use and alot you will never use. Needle? only thing special I saw on it was more clip positions. Just buy some jets yourself (may only ever touch 2 or 3 in the kit), they are only like 2.50 a pop.

 

Hey Quad999 they say in some mags that u get a 15% increase in power which i think is a load of Shizz just my .02

 

u might get a 15% increase in power with a jet kit, K&N filter, no airbox lid, and a new exhaust. did u read the fine print, sometimes they mention that.
