Default front bearing carrier removal

Has anyone information on removal of the front bearing carrier on an 1997 Explorer 400? More specifically, are there any ideas on how to remove the chain tensioner bolt ? I know how to disconnect the drive shafts and let the chain go but when I attempt to remove the tensioner bolt, it brings up on the bottom of the steering shaft. Any ideas ?

I am not sure its been along time since I took mine out.But I belive once you get the nut off the clamp will spread enough to twist the carrier out .
