I just got me heat seeker and I dont even want to put that pice of junk in!!
I know 02Baja put in an external NICE oil preasure guage, I too will do that but first I want a NICE temp guage on the dash that lights up at night.. I searched and did not see any thing...
Question, on the water return there are 2 sets of wires comming out. 2 from the side and 2 on top. My guess is the side is the TEMP stick, what is the other??? will a standard from fleetfarm temp guage fit?

 

I haven't seen any aftermarket temperature gauges that worth using yet.

As to the wires that you spoke of, the one on the side is a temperature controlled switch. It is used to switch the cooling fan on and off. The one on the top is the temperature sending unit that controls the temp/oil pressure light on the dash.

Mudstud, I am going to be go out and install my Oil Temp, and Oil Press, gauges right now and I just ordered my Water Temp gauge right before I posted. They are red lighted, with black background from Jegs.

i like the dash mount too, but the only one i found is at high lifter and is $90, i'm hoping his works and is cheaper

 

I did not have any start problems until I jetted. I never even looked for the choke. Now I can reach it in my sleep

Everyone the Oil Temp and Oil Pressure gauges are monunted wired and working. They look sweet, I will try and borrow a digital camera sometime this weekend. I still need to break out the dremel to trim the nose piece a little though, no big deal. They look sweet with the red lighting. Can't wait to get a water temperature gauge to. O yeah and I just got my RWR CDI, so she'll have a whole new personality this spring.
