Need Help With Buzzing/Vibration Sound On P650
#1
When I am riding I can hear a buzzing or kinda vibration sound that seems to be coming from under the bike, somewhere around the middle or front. It kinda sounds like one of the factory skid plates might be loose but they are all tight. I know this thing is famous for all sorts of strange sounds but I can hear this while riding, over the exhaust and with my helmet on. Its been doing it for a while and I cant seem to find anything loose. Does anyone else's bike do this or any ideas what to check ? Im stumped.

Mine did that. It was between the front rack and the front rack plastic cover. Even though it was tight, it was vibrating in the center. I put a piece of foam or rubber between them where they wear touching.

I dont have the front rack or push bar on there anymore. I also thought it might be the front plate with all the holes in it thats vibrating, but its real tight also.

there is a chance that your skid plate is tight but your lillte rubber spacer has come loose and fallen off. this keeps the center of your plate from vibrateing againt the oil pan.
If you find that that is the problem, the best solution would be to buy a better skid plate and replace it. For $100, you will get a much better plate and no vibrations.
I love my skid plate. Best mod yet! I love the new tires but when a rock bounces off the new skid plate, I thank my lucky stars that I don't still have that original piece of crap on there anymore.

Cueball, you should check your fan mounting brackets. Nyroc had a weld that broke and his was making noise. Thought I'd let you know.
