Default Mag 325 brake noise

'02 Mag 325 has approx 10 hrs on it and the rear brake makes lot of noise when backing up. The foot brake also bottoms out and doesn't have much brake action. It obviously has air in it and needs bleeding.

Has anybody had same experiences ?

Foot brake appears to be separate system from hand brake because there are 2 bleed screws on caliper.

I am really impressed how well the brakes work using the hand brake.

My 325 Magnum does the same thing. After I rode it hard it went away for awhile but came back. I plan on taking a look at it sometime this winter.

Heavy Duty Semi-metalic Brake Pads. They are noisy!
Ask your dealer about adjustment on rear brake.

I bleed foot brake system and it did have air in it. Works great now and brakes still make some noise backing up, but not as bad as it did.

That squeek is, the nature of the beast. I have seen the pads get a little dirt stuck in them and squeek. This will usually go away on its own unless it picks up more dirt. From what you are saying though, I don't believe you'll ever get rid of it. Besides you ought to hear what mine sounds like when I hit the brakes while backing up."SKREECH,GRIND, GROUL" and thats because my brake rotor is mounted to the countershaft. So, their is nothing I can do about it.
