What's the lowdown on the new Foreman that is supposed to be available in late May? The Honda dealer here in Ohio is telling me all he knows is that it will be a 500 and the price will most likely be around $7000.

The way I understand it, it is not a Foreman at all, rather it will be called a Rubicon. It will be a 500cc machine with an automatic transmission. But not belt drive like Polaris or Kawasaki, but an actual automatic transmission with gears and such. There was a good article about the new transmission in DirtWheels a few months back. I'm very anxious to see one myself!

Yes, it is not going to be a Foreman. The Rubicon will be an all new machine from the ground up. The tranny is not going to be your typical belt auto. It is going to be a hydostatic type, similar to what you find on tractors and other heavy equiptment. You can also shift it manually with a thumb shifter (like you find on the ES Ranchers and 450) if you want.

It will also have the AP front differental, higher ground clearance, and a $6999 price tag.
Ouch!

I would like to here more about the rubicon, but everyone that I talked to said that they don't have any info on this bike yet. There has to be something out there on this bike.

by looking at the pictures on the HondaMotorcycle.com website. The stickers on the side of the gas tank are "Honda Foreman, Rubicon". Pretty much same sticker as Honda Foreman, but has Rubicon under the word Foreman".

Call it what you may. I want one!!!!

I have already sold my ForemanES in anxious anticipation and received the blessing from the wife.....

The engine will have more power, it will have 4 valves instead of 2, plus more CC's.

You can bet it will be in short supply, when it does come out!
