Exhaust System
#2
I personally am running an FMF Powerbomb Header with a White Brother's E-Series slip on. This setup makes awesome low and mid range power, yet still pulls hard on top. I have had some issues with the core in my silencer falling apart, but White Brothers stood behind it and replaced my entire silencer with a rebuilt unit. An aftermarket exhaust of any type definately makes an improvement on the 400ex.

White brothers E-series they say give you the most of everything in all the exhaust shootuots they do. I really like my Muzzy. But if I were to do it again I would go for the Yosh pipe. My buddy's have them and they rock. Kinda expensive though.

I would say that the WB E-series Pro-meg is out standing. I have one on my 426ex and it is amazing how much of a power gain it gives. Also don't ever buy a FMF they are good for bottum end but that is it!

We have the FMF PowerBomb and the PowerCore 4, and K&N with vented airbox lid. If I was buying a system today, I would go with the Titanium 4 rather than the PowerCore. The system is nice. Power increase is good throughout the range.

Sparks x-4, if you are planning on going to a big bore than a Sparks X-6. I have had both exhausts and the X-4 really helped out my stock 400EX. We used it on two different stock 400's and it worked great. The X-6 is probably the most popular racing exhuast for the 400EX I have seen tons of them at the races.
