Default American Star Tie Rod Reliability

I just got a set of heavy duty American Star Tie Rods. They use an UNSEALED heim joint style end, rather that a sealed ball joint. Does anyone have any info on durability in muddy/wet conditions, or how to keep them lubed through the day? My first GNCC race is quickly approaching and I am starting to worry about my steering seizing up. Thanks for any tips you may have!

The tie rod ends are a hemi style? Really!hmmmmmmmmmmm Do they actualy need lube?

This might be out there but what about chain lube? It would be clean and just as resistant to the conditions as your chain is.

Have you call American Star to ask them about it? See what they got to say about it.

I think it same set up of the Roll design a-arm. I think (may be wrong) You don't need to lube it. I don't have any clue since I am getting the Roll A-arm in a few weeks.

use graphite powder lube. a wet lube will attract dirt/sand and wear out your heim joints.
