Default Z400 use synthetic oil or not???

Is there any reason to not use synthetic oil in my Z400? Does it affect the clutches at all?

I used it in my Mojave and now I'm using it in my KFX....My dealer told me it was a good idea because of the high performance aspect of the quad!!!

Why not use a synthetic/petrolium blend, like Honda HP4M (with molly thrown in for good measure. Synthetic has some advantages and petrolium has its own advantages, so hedge your bets and use a combo!!

The Honda HP4 is a grate choice but you want it without Moly the with Moly CAN make your clutch slip.

I ran Motul V300 full synthetic in my 400EX between rebuilds and cam change. when I took out the cam it didn't even have a hint of blue on it. It also allowed me to get an extra race out of an oil change.
Expensive? Yes!
Worth it? Every penney!
