Default CDI Igniter assembly

While i was last out riding, i was hit in the front of my quad, and it died and would not start. I had the wires smashed and ultimatly cut on my CDI Igniter assembly for my 2003 blaster. I tried to kick it over with the wires cut, not knowing that they were cut. I spliced the wires back together, but still with no luck. Could this damage the box, and cause my quad not to start?

Yes, it could have shorted the box out. Also, many ignitions such as MSD, Dyna, etc say not to unplug the igntion while the bike is running because damage could result. It may be the same with your stocker. Shearing the wires would be the same as unplugging. The only way to test a CDI box is to replace it with another. You can not test it with a meter or other device.
