Baja heats up fast!!....?????

Ok, I think I've got my jetting pretty much right on, except for the fact that the bike heats up extremely fast. After running for about 10-15 seconds, if you were to put a piece of solid steel on the headers, I guarentee it would melt. It is also hot all the way back on the pipe until you get to the muffler. OK, not that hot but I can tell you from experience that it is painful. It doesn't seem right to me that it would get that hot, especially that soon after start-up. Here is what I am at so far....
195main/45pilot(came stock)/needle on 3rd clip w/all washers underneath the clip(dynojet needle)/and 3 1/8th turns out.
So, I am thinking for it to get that hot at startup it must be lean??? Someone on here mentioned they use a 47.5 pilot jet(I think it was Jiminok). DO you think I should try that? Any and all help will be appreciated.

Everytime I pull out a plug, it is dark and wet. As for the fan, I have no clue, I haven't been able to ride it that long anywhere. Is there a way I can check without getting the bike extremely hot??

What elevation are you at. Your set up is the same as mine was when I had the stock carb @ 700 ft elevation. When I went to the local Mountains. @ 5000 ft or so I ran a 185 main. Black and wet is rich. Your bike doesn't smoke right?

OK....so maybe this is normal?? I am only at around 250ft elevation. I usually ride at sea level. If I rev it up just after I start it, it gives off a couple a puffs of black smoke, but nothing after that.
I just ran it for a few mins and then let it idle for at least five minutes when the fan came on. So.....my fan does still work.

The black color on the plug is a concern. The wetness could be fuel entering the comb chamber after the bike was shut down. You want more of a brown color on your plug. I would guess that your still rich. Prolly try a 190. Although Oregon temps are low. So sea level and cold temps a 195 should be spot on. Put in some new plugs and try a 190. Thats what I would do.
