need help with tires for 360
#1
i am getting ready to buy some new tires for my 360 im going to get the itp mudlites. ive been thinking about running 26-10-12 on all four rims would this mess up any of my controll or what the reason for buying the same size for all four is that its cheaper i dont want to go with the 25" because im looking for somthing with tread depth if anyone could help i would appreciate it

By going to a 26 from a 25 will not give you enough significant difference. If you are wanting a taller tire go with a 27 but from 25 to 26 you will not gain but a half inch in total highth with the 27 you will gain an inch. Plus just cause its a taller tire does not mean that you get deeper tread depth. If that is your major concern I would stay with the 25 and you will be pleasantly suprised at how well just the mud lite will help.

Billdozer, it does not hurt to use the same tread on all four for handling, but can make steering harder.
Wider tires make steering harder. I advise against it. Put fat tires on the back and skinny on the front. The back ones need more tread anyway since they have to deal with you spinning them so much more.
Additionally, most tire manufacturers make the skinnier tires just a shade smaller than the fronts, so that you can steer easier in 4x4. If you use all the same size, you may wind up a bit harder to steer (been there and done that). If the front tires a a lot smaller than the back then there is a big drag and the 4x4 shifting system has to take an impact each time you shift into 4x4.
Go with narrow fronts and wider rears. It won't be all that bad to use all the same tires, but I do believe you won't like it as much.
You may not gain a whole lot of ground clearance with 26", but you won't loose much power either so go ahead and get them. You have my permission.

I emailed KendaUSA asking how much they weighed. They haven't replied back.
I emailed them 3 months ago asking how much the 26x9-12 bearclaw weighed. It was 19 lbs. If I'm not mistaked all bearclaws are 6ply (they are now at least, I don't know if they haven't always been).
