you better talk to the guys over at Boeing about a jet motor.nothing beats a 700 for all around mean....

 

If I were you I would be happy to get it to run with a modded 400 Explorer or old 400 Sportsman.

 

ok, really, this can't be impossible,with all the carburation, piping & clutching possibilities! not even to mention porting & polishing. surely, some one has a killer recipie for this engine!

 

Try Hotseat performance. They have a speed kit that will get you close and then get a bigger carb and cam, it will scream.

 

Check out Aaenperformance.com. They offer power kits for the 500 engines. They also carry the H.O. updated camshaft, larger carbs, and they do head porting. I would say that you would want the Sportsman 500 (pre-H.O.) Stage V Power Kit. This will run you $1218. With it you get muffler, longer duration cam, high compression piston, better carb,head porting, their aggressive clutch kit, and an empty wallet. I myself have been looking into their power kits for my Scrambler 500 H.O., so I can't really tell you how good they really are.
