I have come to a point where I have to replace my oringinal Baja tires. I am undecided what type of tires I should buy. I ride only on hard packed trails and also groomed ski-doo trails in the winter. What is everyones recomendations. ??
Also If I were to change tire size from 20x10x9 and go to a 22x11x9 what should I expect as far as loss of top end, decrease in lower end torque. Should I then go and change gearing? if so, change gearing to what?
Thanks

I would either go with the Pure Sport Bandit's 22x10x9 xc rear and the 23x7x10 xcr in front or the Holeshot's 22x11x9 xct rear and 23x7x10 xct front. If they are for hard pack I would lean more toward the Bandit's, they seem to last a little longer. Prices are about the same on both tires.

JMAC,
I am actually leaning towards the holeshot XCT 22x11x9, I am not sure if I will need to change gearing. have you riding with a 22" tall tire with a stock gearing and stock rpm limit? Best price I have found is $162.00 (C.A.D) plus tax and shipping.

I went with 23" Razrs in the front and 22" Razrs for the rear. I went with the bigger size for more ground clearance. You can never have enough of that on the trails. I have been running them since I bought the bike new last Feb. They are wearing very, very well. I still have stock gearing. Didnt loose that much low end. And with a taller tire, you get more top speed. Holeshots wear very fast on hard packed dirt. That mainly all I run. The Razrs must be a harder compound. I am very pleased with them.

just to be sure, you are refering to the 4 ply Razr's no the Razr's 2 which are 6 ply. Just want to stay away from a puncture prone tire.
