Rear MX Tires

I have been on one set of tamers for the last year and a half and they finaly bit the dust. They still got lots of thread but they getting dry rotted and starting to get eggs on the side wall.I love these things for mx.I never tried the 18'' hole shots though.Thats the most common two that I see.

i would recommend the Holeshot MX they seem to give great traction in the bottom gears especial on hard pack condition next in line would be Razrs cuz i have had them before and if u put just a lil just tad to much air they dony catch very well in the first 2 to 3 gears but i lie the holshots cuz they are very light but very strong and if u get a flat they are cheap and easy to take care of and they look great on n e quad

I'm running grooved Tamers and they work pretty good, but wear down extremely fast... especially on dry tracks. I ran a set of Razr MX's once and absolutely loved them. They get better forward traction than my Tamers, but I can corner w/ them just as good. After I used my stock Holeshots for a while, I just don't trust Holeshots anymore. My stockers just grabbed to much in the corners making it very tippy, and although the MX's might be better, I just don't wanna take the chance. My next tires will definitely be Razr MX's.

I kind of screwed up and forgot to put what I was actually asking for. I meant to ask for the sizes you guys recommend running. I already know that I perfer holeshots on most tracks here. I just wasn't sure on what size rims & tires you guys run..
Thank you

I have heard that the 9'' rim gives you less side wall flex.
You cant get tamers for a 9'' rim.Atleast last time I checked you could not.I know you said holeshots so it should not matter.
I run 18x11x8 turf tamers. Not saying there the best but I like them.

I run the 9" holeshot mxs. They aren't as bouncy as 8" but I really can't tell a difference b/t them. And they do slide easy in turns and they aren't as hard as the stock holeshots so they hook up well. You will get a little more life out of them than a set of tamers, but not that much.
