Is anyone running a 300 kit in the trx250r ? The reason I am wondering is my sister just got one today and it has a 300 kit, paul turner pipe, cfsx(i think)silencer, k&n, rad valve, and a 39 mm carb. It seems pretty darn fast. If there is anymore out there how do you like it? We only ride in the dunes. How does it do against other quads in drags? Or have any of you seen a 300R run ? Any info will help us out. thank you - Jason

ya I am positive it's a 300 kit. I feel the same way, i had never heard of a 300 kit before either. I guess (from what i have heard)its supposed to run close to a 310 motor. I am curious ... what kind of quads are you able to smoke on your 310R? what kind of paddles are you runnin? Have you been to st. anthony? if so can you make it up choke cherry fairly easy(planning a trip there soon)? Thanks for you help. - Jason

 

a 310 (pro-x) actually starts at a 265 if im not mistaken. Ive seen 295 cylinders all around the place, so im sure a 300 is easily possible. The 310's run good. properly ported and you'll take care of a lot of the bikes.

 

My old 310 Screamed.Beat modded DS 650,Raptors,and some modded shees.Saint Anthony Dunes is the place to be.The 300 will make it up choke cherry no problem IMO.Do a search on these forums for lotsa info on St Anthony Dunes. Late,zubbeyboy

 

thanks for your help and info guys. Believe it or not, this R is for my 13 year old 90 lb sister. but no worries she can handle it. Knowing that she's 90 lbs this will make the bike even faster in drags wont it ? once again thanks

 

course weight will make a big difference. The superstition is 6-8 pounds equal 1hp (dead weight, not rotating mass) Im not sure what the ratio is for rotating weight. Rumor is that women are better racers anyway because their hand/eye coordination is better then the majority of males. Now...i dont believe this cuz im a guy, but guys do have *****, and that IS what it takes to drag race [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] lol no offense ladies, just a little manly humor.

lateralus, One more thing - How moddified were the raptors and ds650s that you were beating? ever raced a cannondale?
