The EX is awesome by its own right. But rarely does a quad off the showroom floor have everything just right. What flaws have you found or what would you tell Honda to improve the overall feel of the EX?

Only more power? Is that all? Where did you get your headlight covers?

Reverse!! power would be fine for me going from a 300ex, I use my reverse in my 3 quads so much I wouldn't know what to do without it. I'm selling my 300ex and Mojave and buying a Raptor??? I would love to stick with Honda 400EX but no reverse. If the 400EX did have it I couldn't ask for more

I got my headlight covers from NAC'S RACING. Actually the other thing I would cahnge is how the back fenders slide on. It's a pain to get back on sometimes. I haven't had any problems wit my 400 so I really can't complain.

Add liquid cooling, 40hp motor, 6th gear, reverse might be nice but I can livewithout it, the rear fender hassle is a good point, relocate/reposition the battery, add 3" to the front width, reduce the motor vibrations, my hands went numb with the steel bars, Renthals helped. Better graphics or more of them I guess, gold anodized wheels. That's a start.......

Milkweed:
You need to move the battery, that is the problem on the seat. Alot of companies make aluminum air boxes that relocate the battery. they are a little costly. We made one from glav. sheet metal and had it powdercoated. It looks great and works killer. We have made a few for our buddies, let me know if you want to see it, $75.
Other than that the 400 ex needs a CR450F motor!!!!!
