Hunters in trailer protection
#1
I have a Bombardier Traxter 500 cc. I use it mainly for hunting and I pull a small trailer with 2 hunters sitting on it. The problem is that the area that I hunt is very dry , almost dessert like , so the tires of the ATV lift a real cloud of dirt and dust that goes straight to my hunters face. Is there any accessory that I can use or adapt that will protect my trailer passenger by stopping the dust from going up and back ?

I would imagine that a person could zip-tie a couple of rubberized doormats to the rear rack such that they hung about an inch or two off the ground when the ATV was loaded. Should do the trick + would be inexpensive and durable. Is that suggestion worth a hunt?

Does not sound like hunting, sounds like your taking these guys on a shooting expedition for nearly domesticated stock. If they cant handle a little dust, they certainly should not be handling weapons...

I also have a Traxter, I found the tires that came on it throw the dirt and mud nearly vertical, I went to the AG Tires, they throw the dirt out the back at a low level. Not sure if this would be of value to your useage, just an idea only.
Knowing how some city hunters have shot a man in the back because he was carrying a turkey over his shoulder by the feet. The poor hunter had just shot this turkey and was carrying it home. Maybe turkeys fly upside down in some areas.
Anyway I truly hope your trailer hunters dont get excited and shoot each other thinking they are bears.
Small joke.
Good Luck

Mr.Nusbaum,
You are incorrect. I am a real hunter, you know, the type that actually HUNTS the prey, Not get on a quad and have some guide(you) take me down the road a mile where your "prey" are either pinned up or free to roam over a whole acre. If you are not running this type of operation, my apologies, but there are many ranches that are doing exactly what I described.

I only speak one language, English. Since I was born in a 1st world country that speaks English, I have no need to learn others. You, on the other hand, need to adapt to me, hence the broken English on your part...

Hey Roost King,
You are really some kind of sport. Your intelligence is really showing. I can’t but wonder how you came to judge this mans hunting practices buy the text in his post. All he said was he hauled hunters on his quad. Hmmm? Yes Sir! You are really something.
