Look at Dirt Wheels March 2003 issue it has a shoot out on all the pipes. The test is on a Z400 but the information is still there. I run the Trinity pipe and it works well for me. I look at the noise and spark arrester issues as well as the power band. The shoot out may answer questions for some and not for others it's what I have to bring to the table.

azsand what is a mild ds for you? just kind of wondering if mine would respond like your mild one. i have woods piston cams and springs, and some head porting, getting a carb 45 next week from gary, the pipe is a problem due to noise levels here in oregon, anyway let me know what it turns out like. the mbrp is of interest but think i'm going to go for the power over noise now.

Obsessed, I still have mine. Overall I like it. It's a little on the loud side, but I haven't heard a pipe (on a DS) that sounds as good. Kind of a whistling sound when you back off it. It leaked where the canister attatched and where the head pipes attatch to the mid-pipe, basically everywhere it could...LOL I used Chamber Seal in both places and it worked o.k. at the canister, but it still leaks where the pipes meet. It also barely touches the frame right past the adjoining point and is starting to rub. It seems to perform very well. Ask 14mins what it sounds like from behind at full throttle.....LOL Any more questions just pm me!
