Over in the Kawasaki section "Fast Mojave", somebody posted a message which basically said that this guys "friend" beat a modified warrior in a straight drag race with a stock 2000 Mojave.

Someone else posted and said that a Mojave could also beat a 300EX (actually he said "chop the head off a 300EX")...every magazine review I have read so far says otherwise...what gives with these guys?

I question the truthfulness of that post...could somebody that knows head over there and counter this post with some level headed facts?

Thanks.

Tell him that there is no way a stock Mojave beat a modified Warrior. I have a stock Warrior and my brother has a stock Mojave and I smoke him all the time in drag races. Tell him if we wanted to hear a comedian we would have asked for one. And when he gets done dreaming tell him to go buy a true sport ATV. A Yamaha Warrior.

Maybe the dude on the Warrior had no legs so that he couldn't shift. That is about the only way a stock mojave could beat a moddified warrior.

ALright i posted the fast mojave thing and it was true I still don't think that a stock mojave has a chance in hell to beat a modified warrior but i think that the rider is the one that counts.

what is so unbelievable about that. The Mojave driver could have been an experienced rider and the warrior guy probably is inexperienced. But in an equal drag a Mojave has no chance

Warrior? "TRUE" sport ATV? Maybe after they update the ancient frame, trim 50 lbs. from the prehistoric 2-valve engine, and give it real suspension..
Only 1 "true sport" atv was made from '93 till '97, the Banshee. Then in '97 the 400EX joined it. This year we got the DS650. Maybe next year we'll get some more real stuff.
I should give Yamaha (and Kawasaki) credit- at least they kept producing something. And you will see more Mojave's on a MX track than Warriors (top speed ain't everything).

the warrior only had a pipe and an air filter i dont know how modified u could call that, not much though.a warrior would smoke a mojave unless the warrior was stock and the mojave was modified
