Thinking about getting a trail tech speedo/computer for my DS....does the installation still require drilling a hole in the caliper or something? Was thinking maybe with the newer ones they might be easier to install.

you still need to drill a small hole in the spindle for the sensor magnet, and they have 2 ways of attaching the magnet to the brake disc.speedo install

I have the trail tech but DONT BUY ONE. I was talking to Kelly and the engineers and they are producing a 12volt system that does not require batteries... I like it but its kinda usless at night.. The light does not stay on. and when I am ridding at 50+ I dont move my hands to push the light button. I dilled my hub out and mounted the sensor on the rotor stud.

awesome info mudstud, perhaps I'll wait for the better version. Did they give any indication as to when it will be released?
