How to make Blaster sound better?
#1
I bought my son a 99 Blaster. He is not yet ready for the extra horsepower associated with an aftermarket pipe, but I would like it to sound more like a modified 2-stroke, aka: "pa-ping."
How can I modify the stock silencer to make it louder and sound more like an aftermarket pipe?

Put on an aftermarket pipe and silencer fmf or something like that. After this mod put the limit screw in on the throttle until he is ready to open the bike up all the way. If not maybe you can just change the stock silencer to and aftermarket silencer and leave the stock pipe

I used to have a Blaster and the only way to make it sound better is a whole new exhast. If youjust put on a new silencer it will sound basicly the same the different sound comes from the pipe. Even with new exhaust they don't sound like the dirt bikes and never will.

I would have to disagree with that. I have had alot of people say they thought a dirt bike was coming till they say me coming out of the woods.
The Fmf pipe and turbine core 2 silencer is an excellent set up. If he rides good now it isnt alot more horsepower like going from stock to aftermarket on a banshee, so he could probably handle it fine.

I would have to probably agree.....the only true way to make the blaster sound better, would be to change the whole pipe and silencer.
I have a blaster....yes it sounds like a dirt bike....and the pipes made it alot more snappy.
