Default Predator stock air filter

Whats everyones opions on the paper filter found in the pred. It appears to me it would be a good flowing filter. Does it filter as good as the K&N and what would the benefits be by switching to something else. Is see alot of people have bought K&N's and Rath Racing says that White Bros is making a foam filter that he will have available in 2 weeks.

K&N has been around (making filters) for quite some time now. Ran 'em on other quads, and in my truck. They work great and last, and last. Your dealer has the right one that just drops right in.

modquad-what about jetting I would guess like everything else when you add a k&n it is one size bigger on the main. I didnt know how much the stock filter flowed if jetting would be required.

I'm presently waiting for Rath's kit myself, before I do any jetting changes. You could maybe contact him for some recommendations. Since you're not running the Pure Polaris/White Bros silencer, your stock setting might be o.k.. Talk to Daryl, and/ or check your sparkplug.

i'm a new member and i just wanted to tell everyone that i purchased a predator the first of dec.,and i just put a big-gun pipe,k&n filter, and cut 6 one inch holes in the airbox..it took me all day sat &sun to get it jetted right..i bought 15 different jet sizes, and finally went with the 175 main jet and adjusted the needle to the 2nd clip from the bottom..final result is that i have no popping, spitting or sputtering.. my advice to anyone with popping is to go down one notch on the needle clip, then start changing jets one size at a time..when the popping occures,go down one jet size...the thing really flies.. i've already beaten raptors, bansheesand ex's.this weekend i'm putting it on a dyno to see how much i've gained..first dyno was 41, i'm hoping for around 49 to 50..
