At Last! A definitive answer about Cannondale's future!

You are going to love this! I just got back from the Indy show and as promised here is what is THE TRUTH about the future of Cannondale:
I went to the Cannondale booth and saw 2 Cannondale quads but no Cannondale banners and only a few small signs. I found Shawn Kennedy (remember him?) the former CD rep for Ohio and several other states. He introduced me to the man who will be making what he believes will be THE successful bid to purchase cd at the chapter 11 auction on March 20 ,03. He is the owner and ceo of a company called Rad based in San diego. He has done a lot of outsourcing for HD on some of their bikes for production as he owns several off shore manufacturing facilties. Heres the great part: He has lots of cash and financial backing. He wants to keep Cannondale motorsport products (more focus on the quads, then the bikes later.)mostly just as they are. They are retaing the name and the logo. They will immediately address a few Of the design challenges with the engine. They will most likely outsource some of the labor (probably engine) to offshore to keep the cost down, but they are retaining the chief engine designer(Heike) for continuity. What we are going to get is a continually improving, still cutting edge quad that we all know and love! YIPPEE! There will be some scooters and maybe even a youth quad (largely already being made now ) that will be rebadged as CD's. I shook the hand of this guy and told him I admired what he is doing and spoke of the dedicated loyal cannondalers at atv connection and other places . He seemed very pleased by the support. He is ready and definitly able to meet this challenge. The only thing they have to wait on is the formal auction. I'm not sure how they know there will be no other bidders, but they seem very sure of themselves. I wanted to be the first to let you know ......

It's true! I'll back Dalediehard up! I talked to Don, the old R&D guy from Cannondale. They're 90% sure. Also, we'll be able to get ALL parts and new quads within 3-6 months of purchase. So, by November, we'll be good to go!
I've also got Fullbore pics of the Cannondale quads....check them out in "my pics" under Cannondale Fullbore. Oh, and the Connection was out and about at Indy also.
