well, how big of a person are you, that does make a difference. I will tell you I have ridden the Z400 and It really is a nice nice bike. I rode my friends and I loved it. It has a great smooth powerband and although I've driven some serious warriors even his stock Z kept bringing the power. you think your at the end of the gear and you push it and it keeps going. the Power was real smooth and steady with lots of getup and go. Even in the snow he was rippin wheelies. I rode it on some snow covered old logging roads and power lines. I followed him through some tighter woods.

so here is what I say. If your a big guy, make sure the Z isn't too small. But if you arent a massive guy, then this is probably a good choice because it is cheaper than those other ones, and is a pretty nice bike, especally if your doing trail riding not dunes or really open stuff. But then again I haven't ridden those other bikes so thats just my opinion. see what other people have to say

Don't forget the Bombardier DS650, it's one bad machine! Very well built, low maintenance

The best bike out right now for power, handling, and suspension and price is the Predator at 5999. It is the only one that has all three!!!

JFiZzle- The V-force is worth a look for sure. I am thinking hard about one for later. Looks like a easy 800cc beast inside it. But the raptor is the best choice. Lots of power and more can be had easily. I would cross off cannondale, predator, 400ex and z400. That leaves the V-force, Raptor and DS650. All the rest are wannabees.

I think any of them would be a good choice. Try and ride them. What one person thinks is good would be terrible for another. Like I couldn't imagine buying a DS for woods riding but for some people I am sure that would work well.
