Not only hand guards, but put yourself some hand and thumb warmers on too. I've got them on my Predator, they make a big difference.

seriously if you want to ride in the cold, get a good pair of snowmobile mittens, not gloves. i ride my ozark when its below zero out on the lake with just a good pair of snowmobile mittens on and they seem to do the trick. then you dont have to put those stupid looking mitts on. dont get me wrong, they might look stupid, but they are nice for deer hunting and usually keep my hands nice and warm. also, those mitts are a pain in the *** if you have a itch on your face or anything, because then when you stick your hand back in them your jacket sleeve rides up to your elbow and it can make for a really un-injoyable time. and if you get stuck in the snow, you are about ready to rip them off because you cant get at the throttle easy enough to give it gas and push it out. Just get a dennis kirk snowmobile magazine and order a good pair and you'll be set. Hope i have helped

Problem is running the clutch while wearing mittens??? I have avoided mittens for that reason, do you have a clutch?
