Default Raced 03' 660 Grizzly today

Just raced a 03' 660 Grizzly today, it came out dead even but we only ran up to 45mph and it was in about 4" of fresh snow. His machine was bone stock with dunflops and only 60 miles , mine has 26" Bearclaws and 260 miles. I wonder if I would have run better with the stock tires , the narrow tires might have cut the snow better and they are a lot lighter. Also my belt gives out a little squeel when I take off, which is getting fixed this week!! I'll get the belt adjusted and try again, and if that does'nt work I'll try the stock tires. I'll keep you all posted.

cammoman I have a 02 prarie and I raced an 03 griz. both with stock tires and the prarie is faster. also the guy on the griz weighed about 150 lbs and I weigh about 250. going to install the black spring and see if there is any difference.I really enjoyed racing him because he works at the yahama dealership and he has bragged about the griz ever since he got it. now he doesnt have much to say.lol

The black spring will definitely help you on your take off and mid-range. You'll stomp him for sure.

Just got my 4-wheeler back from the shop tonight and the mechanic said my belt was really loose. They had to remove both shims. The throttle response is increased quite a bit, and seems to pull much harder than yesterday. This should make a big difference when we race again. They charged me $40.58 to adjust the belt.
