Finally someone with the same dream I've had for years! But unfortunately that will never happen on a quad! Quad's are always dead last on the minds of engineers, we are like the unloved step children of motorsports. Think about it, a new 500cc snowmobile with power valve's will run 110mph all day, and thats at the bottom of the sled line up. Just imagine what an Artic Cat F7, ZR 900, or a Thundercat would do! The biggest we get in a quad is a 660 Raptor that runs in the low 70's and worst of all its a 4 stroke. The 700 Kaw coming out, big deal, slow and lame and probably still only runs in the 75 mph range, Not good enough! That's why summer stinks and winter rules! My Banshee is just something to hold me over in the summer months until the snow flies and the real fun starts! If you want a 1000cc toy in the summer Buy a street bike.

It will happen, trust me on this. The bad thing though I was reading that there is a regulation that will not allow a quad to achieve over 75MPH in stock form. If this law was not in place the Bomb would have different gearing that would allow it to hit in the 80's. So it seems no matter how big they get they will not be allowed to hit over 75. thats ok with me, I want it to get to 75 the fastest, thats what really matters LOL.

well, i think they should just put a govener on it instead of bad gearing. cause if it was just a govener, then just take it off!

Most states have cc limits to qualify it as an atv, I believe Minnesota is at 800. But a new machine could change the limit also. CPSC recommends that the top speed of all atv's shall not exceed 75 mph.

I don't think there is a market for a 1000cc machine. They aren't making as much power as they could with the cc's they have now.

So just build your own. No matter what they come up with it will never truly be perfect or enough. I am on my third superquad project right now. I've already done a banshee motor in a Yz400 frame, and a Ninja ZX600R motor in a Suzuki LT230 frame(fast). I'm sure it does all of 110 mph. Right now my partner and i are putting a Yamaha FZ-1 motor in a Suzuki LT250r frame. It should be pretty fast. Next year i plan to build a mini rail with a turbo charged R1 motor. The quad manufacturers will never build the perfect quad so instead of waiting 10 years for the manufacturers to test and build the perfect quad, i would rather take 3 years to work the kinks out of one of my own creations.

The TREE HUGGERS have a fit right now as it is. If you start bringing bigger wheelers in the woods there will be some serious laws on wheeling in the coming years. There probably will anyway...don't get me wrong I like a nice powerful machine, but I just don't see the effort being put into a 1000cc machine. They will put money into suspension, exhaust, ergonomics, and other performance related things.
