the facts are...

the Grizzly has more ground clearance, more power, more suspension travel, larger gas tank, shorter wheelbase, tighter turning radius, front disc brakes, and a locking front differential...

the only advantage I see the Rincon having is gears, instead of a belt that can slip... and it is supposed to be a better handling quad ...

BUT, I just read i the new ATV Magazine 4x4 shootout...... that the Rincon's transmission is so much more responsive than the belt drives that have to rev-up to engage, then lunch forward... they also rated the brakes BETTER than the Grizzly's.... and said it handled better at all speeds.... nice....

but, I still wish it had front dics, and a locking front differential.....

the rincon, its a honda. by the way i wouldnt call a shorter wheel base an advantage. more like a dissadvantage. but i guess its all how you use your machine. right???

Depends on what you like, but show me something a Rincon can do that a Grizzly cannot, or even better, show me a lot of stuff. I liked the Rincon I rode at the dealer. Really smooth. Should have put discs on it all around though, but still a good ride. Price tag is a joke though. Have to be true dyed in the wool honda to pay that much more when there is stiff competition in this big quad market.

Only thing I don't like about my Grizzly is the belt. Bought it anyway, cause it had everything else I wanted and nothing else at the time (or even now) did. If they made one with a manual shift, I'd trade tomorrow regardless of losing any money in the deal. Same thing if Honda made a Rincon with discs and a locker.

This debate is no different than with a Prairie or SP700. Strictly preference, cause they are all unbelievable. Dirtwheels slammed the Rincon hard in their shootout, but then again they slam everything without much evidence to back it. Then they turn around a few months later and say the exact opposite.

Ever since i got my Kodiak i no longer believe anything in the MAG's. The things that they say are so bad on mine aren't even bad at all!

Its really bad when they start making things like rack limits (which generally vary by like 20 lbs. and we all know you can put a lot more on there) into some contest. I've seen them whine about the AC rocker shifter like it was something that just made them not want to ride it several times too. They bitch about power when they are talking about 600cc plus quads (like any of them are short on it). Its wierd how they will find something to really value and then 6 months later pick the same machine for a lack of that which they praised earlier in the year.

Like the Rincon. They talked it up real big, then slammed in their shootout. Kind of takes away from their credibility when they make so many contradicting statements.

...............Also the towing limit's are stupid are's to pick apart a quad. 850lbs on honda's! We tow trucks with our 300 honda, i think that's a little more than 850lbs! Heck a sp700 would be more than that! And i know the rincon has more power than a 300!

They go off the ratings like its some set in stone limit to measure by. And whats worse, their numbers on stuff differ all the time. I remember them saying that the SP500 and 600 Grizzly would radar in at 52mph one time and just previously they said the 2000 Scrambler 500 would do 68mph. Yeah, that much difference! Bull crap on that and most of their other stuff. The sad thing is that it all gets used as evidence for people to quote on the forums in a debate.

I agree the mags are all bull ****, there credability sucks and that is the only way for them to sell there mags. The sad thing is there are so many people out there that believes that the rincon will only run 49, grizz 52, and all because a mag said so when the say a SP500 or rubicon will run 55.
