Predator DG nerfs

Ordered my new nerf fat series from DG today, found out that dirty wheels ran the ad two months too early.
Looked at the Polaris nerfs, seemed like a show piece instead of a trail piece. Are they chrome STEEL??? That should help the weight.... and why do the nets run around the outside of the bar? Seems to me that the first rock or tree you hit they will be cut or fray, plus they are $50 more than the aluminum DG nerfs. I suppose someone designing the bars was smokin'.... Is it worth the 30 to 45 day wait for the DG product?

I would buy the Polaris units. They're top notch aluminum with CAD quality design. Everything bolts up in about 30 mins. Don't let the different web routing throw you off, it actually makes for a much more "factory installed" appearance when you're done. Why wait to buy knock off bars tomorrow, when you can buy factory engineered bars today? I've spent many hours modifying my 99 Sport, because not many places out there would NOT produce performance gear for it. Now someone is building the quad I asked for, and some bitchin' gear to go with it. I'm gonna let my hard earned dollar say "thank you". Soapbox.....what soapbox?

The Polaris nerfs are aluminum and will polish nicely, fit and finish is perfect. The nets do hook up alittle differently but work awsome and shouldn't cause any problems. I think they are worth the money and most dealers will work on the price.

No their not, they advertise them being made from 1 1/2 tubing, seems kinda large to me. I had a set of the factory nerfs but unloaded them on E-Bay because I myself didn't like the fact that the nets were wrapped around the bar and rivited. I'd rather have the web eyes like on most other nerfs. I have a set of nerfs on order from Pro Armor. They should be available any time now. Putt

Hey Putt,
I really like the look and features of the Pro Armor nerfs too...When you talked to them did they give you a REALISTIC!!! time frame when they would be available? Oh, are they available in black webbing for our Preds, and how much are they?
Thanks,
JJ

The factory nets are riveted on? Well, now I know that I'm not getting the factory nerfs. My buddy put a set of Pro Armor nerfs on his KFX400 and I like them. I didn't know they were working on some for the Predator, suppose I'll give them a call.

That's the same thing I thought when I pulled mine out of the box, but you know what, when all was said and done. I'd get the same ones all over, it's really a slick installation, and looks clean when you're done....that can be read, no loose straps flapping around in the breeze. Just my 2c

How do you fix them when the nets tear? I ride in the east Blue Ridge and we have alot of rocks
that are going to hit the nerfs. Have you priced replacement nets through Polaris? Would you just drill
the rivet out and pop a rivet back in? How much did you pay for them? $220 sounds a little steep.
