The stock jets seem to work the best, and are by far the cheapest.

Look in Nyroc's 650 knowledge base site. He has jet #'s(I think) They are $6/EA.

I would definitely recommend getting the aftermarket air filter be it K n N or Twin Air. The jury is still out on the dynojet part of the kit you are looking at. I'm still trying to find the right combination of main jets on my machine. Some people have had good results and some have had mixed . Some people have had good results with the kehein jets that are much cheaper. The needle jets in the dynojet kit definitely made a diff though but I dont think they are worth the cost. What altitude will you be riding at.

If you do decide to get the kit complete with the dynojet be prepared to do some tinkering as is typical with jetting but you can increase your performance if you are willing to take the time.

K&N is a good kit if you jet it right.

However, if you know what you are doing, you can adjust your stock needles with washers and get bigger mains. Alltoys suggests this. I use the Dynojet needle with the Kehin main jets.

It can be done. Read my posts from last week! Took two trips to the dealer, and 3 different adjustments to the needles, but mine is running great w/Dyno Jet kit.

will it work,
yes...
is it worth the money..some folks say yes, some folks say no..

my prefrence...
stock jets, stock needle...
all you really need is a 145 main jet, about 6-8 bux, take the stock main (142) out of the rear carb, put the 145 in the rear, and turn the mix screws out about 1/2 turn or so..

if you want to know what you get in the jet kit..it is mains from 118-138 or so, in increments of 2, 2 new needles cut on a diffrent taper than stock, 4 needle shims, and 2 clips for the adjustable needles..2/3 of the stuff you don't use anyway..

am I worried about not having adjustable needles..not really, they can be shimmed about a clip and a half position anyway if I need to..

I'm at sea level as well, this should get you close..if you want to go stock jets instead of kit..
