Default Can anyone in FL help with black spring?

Hey there. Just curious if any florida members near Sarasota would be willing to get together and help me install the black spring and set belt deflection to spec? The thought of taking it to the dealer is almost as grim as the thought of me attempting it myself I can handle oil changes, but not the most mechanically inclined! Anyway, if anyone would like to attempt this over a few bru-ha-ha's, let me know

lightman, check with your local dealer you might be suprised. In KY my dealer said it would be .5 hr of labor to put the black spring in, up here that equals $22.50. (I think)

They do them all the time and recomend them to p650 owners.

They are also going to show/explain to me how to adjust the belt myself. I think its well worth it.

I bought the bike used although it came from the originally.

Lightman, I'd love to come to FL and help you out. Just in time for spring training (although the Royals moved to AZ this year)!

There are so many posts about black spring installation, plus Nyroc's sight, that almost any fool (myself included) can handle it. And if you get in a jam, make a quick post, and someone will bail you out in minutes!

I've looked over the instructions and I'll just say i'm not the most mechanically inclined of the bunch, and it seemed difficult. Oh well, I just hoped there was someone in the area that had already made the tool.
