650 and k&n power kit???
#1
I called my dealer and told him I needed him to rejet my bike (it's running lean)because I have a Pro-Circuit full exhaust and am adding wolfman's snorkle. He said that they would add a K&N power kit which would take care of my lean condition. Does anybody know about these jets or has anybody used them. Will they be rich enough for my mods and are they adjustable. I don't want to pay $150 for it to find out it is not going to do what I need. Please Help, I am doing this in a week and I need to know whether to tell them yeah that will work or if I need to tell them I want something else.

Copper,
The K&N kit should come with a filter, new needles and several jetting choices. The instructions will probably give you a recommended jetting with a pipe as well as several jetting sizes up and down to allow you to dial it in perfectly(all the jets should be included).
However, a portion of your $150 is going towards all these extra jets that you aren't going to use. If you check in this forumn, or on nyrocs site, you should be able to find jetting specs that will get you pretty close without spending all the extra cash.

The K&N kit consists of an air filter, filter oil, and a Dyno Jet jet kit w/instructions. See other posts about the Dyno Jet kit and make your decision based on those. Personally, my Prairie runs great w/ Dyno Jet kit, but it took two trips to the dealer, and several different configs to get it that way.

Hey BrianT:
I checked your previous post on jetting. What were your main jets after your last visit to the dealer. I believe you had 132/136 installed originally Also, are you at the 3000' altitude. Another fella from same state as you is at 3000' and that is my altitude as well. I was going to set my mains at 128/132 first chance I have. Thanks
