You didn't get that good of a deal.

I got a 97 for 1,400. Mint condition road very little.

And a friend of mine got a 2000 for 2,200 after a guy got in a car wreck.

So don't go bragging, it's not that great of a deal!

I got a sweet deal on a 97 Scrambler 500 in August of 98... The people needed the $$$$ to make payments on everything else in their driveway. (everything else had a payment book to go with it)
They were advertising for $3500.00 which I thought was a good deal. I was already in the market for a new machine for my g/f... so I went and looked at it, rode it, talked the woman into selling it for $2600.00 in cash on hand.. (I was actually headed to the Polaris dealership to buy a new Blazer THAT morning)
So, I loaded up a year old Scrambler 500, and put about $1000.00 back in the bank...
Thats my good deal on that one...
The other one would make most people sick to hear what I gave for the Magnum 500....

I bought a new 2000 Trail Blazer with a HJC clx3 helmet 30.00 gloves and Scott goggles and 2 gallons of Polaris 2 stroke oil for 2700.00. I don’t know if it was a good deal but I am having a lot fun.

you just took advantage of someone in financial trouble and you are proud of it. People like you make me sick. Remember, goes around , comes around.

Hey JC a "deal is a deal" take it when you can get it!!! I suppose that if you found that deal you would have said "Oh no please take $3500 of my money not $2700" Come on! When you get a deal take it

JC....
So, did I "take advantage" of your sister or something in a past life?
No, maybe I shouldn't say that... I went and looked, rode it, bought it... I didn't have a gun pointed at them, it was the first day their ad was in the paper, I didn't run the machine down or anything like that.. I offered what I was willing to give in cash that day for a machine that I knew NOTHING about with NO warranty... I could have jsut as easily went and bought the new Blazer that morning...
These people weren't "destitude".. They are people that ALWAYS have to keep up with the Jonses.. This guy had a BRAND new 98 Mustang Cobra R with the translucent paint job, a 98 Dodge Durango (fully loaded) a new Kawasaki Mule, a new YZ-250 dirtbike, and was fixing to get a new Chevy 1 ton dually... they had NICE enclosed horse trailers, brick home, lots of land...
But when we walked into their house to get the title and sign everything over, she was digging thru a MOUNTAIN of payment books from every concievable bank and lending instutition. She made the comment that he hadn't met his projected sales mark the past couple of months... Do I feel sorry for them.. NO... Its called a BUDGET...

Would you have passed it up?

I got my Scambler in July for $2000. It already had a pipe (no name), new radiator, aluminum wheels, Titan tires all around, new carb, and I got the old stock tires and wheels. The guy that was painting my truck had it at his house. He got it on a trade...the guy needed a van and all he had to trade was the Scram. He told us the van was only worth about $2000 and he didn't need that 4-wheeler. So we took it off his hands. I say we, because my parents bought it.
