Default how much money should i put on this race...?

Hey, i have a modded scrambler 500 4x4 and i wanted to know if i would beat a stock 400ex.......

my friend has asked this many times but i just want to feel a little more confindent before i put any money on this race. We know a kid upstate that thinks he has like the fastest machine ever and thinks hes all tuff cause he compares his honda to sportsmans and other utilty quads..........my scrambler has the hotseat speed kit on it which includes exhaust system, clutch kit, and k&n air filter.......

........so if you were me how much will you lay out on this race.....

thanks alot....

is it cross country or drag it all depends on how good he is on the back in a drag you should be able to beat him bout it would be real close in the woods is his 400ex stock. I am pretty close to beeting my friend on a kfx400 i think my 12t sprocket helped me i would recomend it i can wheelies pretty easy now and im gettin a clutch kit soon so i will be real quick off the start hope this helps

I would concure. A piped, jetted, and properly clutched scrambler will run a very close race with a stock 400ex. Depending on the rider ability, I would put the edge on the scrammy, but the EX may pull out SLIGHTLY in top end. Put that 628 kit in and he'll be eatin dust

If this was equal, I would bet on the 400ex.

If the 400EX even has an air box and jet mod it would probably be a little faster then your 500 Scrambler, but if its completely stock I'd think you could win.

A stock 4x4 400 Scram will beat a Stock 400ex in a drag. Arent the 400 and 500 Scramblers pretty close?

yeah the speed kit made a huge difference........here look at it this way......go out and start your sportsman and put it in Nertural.....then take the throttle and push it all the way back and bring it fwd(fast)......the engine will only put put a very low rev......this is called racing lag....all auto polaris quads have it, the clutch kit fixes this racing mod and makes it so when you tap the gas its gonna go......if i were to push my throttle all the way, it would give a high rev and then a wheelie.........the rest of the stuff makes it faster....and a nice sound
