Default Who Runs A MBRP Slip-On

I just wanted to hear anyone's input on the slip-on. I had a question. I have about 1 hour on mine and the pipe turned a nice gold color up to the end cannister. Is that normal? I ran a DJ 180 main jet second clip down. The screw is two turns out like the Dyno Jet kit recommended. Does this sound good. The bike starts, idles, and seems to run good. I was mabye expecting a bigger increase but realize it's just a slip-on. What are anybody else's thoughts? I have a UNI in the stock box, lid on.

Hey, my buddy went with the same set up as you the MBRP, and Dynojet stage two. Where he got the most resuts was eliminating the airbox completely and directly mounting the K&N to the carb. You will need to pick up two crank case breathers if you do this.

my buddy's got the same slip on on his '03, he likes it a lot, i think it sounds good too, i think he's running a 190 or 195 main jet, with 3rd clip position. and a k&n direct mount filter, his has'nt changed color at all up on the muffler end.. he also orderd the rest of the mbrp system, (headpipes to slip on section), he's still waitin on it though, i still have the stock setup but i'm impressed with his results, about the carb main jet, i'm not sure he's too rich or not but were still learning... peace.....
