Default Paddles for 99 Sport 400?

Does anyone have a Sport with paddles? Which ones work best for general dune riding? I only go to dunes in Silver Lake MI. about 4 times a year so I really don't want to spend the money on Skat Traks.
Geckos or something like a Dune Runner(Kenda)? Is straight blade or V-blades better?

Hey Stickhauler! We live in the UP and were thinking about coming down to try Silver Lake. Never done any dune riding. How is that place?

The 22x11x10 dune runners work ok but the best paddle that I have found are Scat-trac haulers. But if you don't dune that much then save the money and mod somewhere else.

Hey Duneaholic!!

What size rims and razors are on your Scrambler on your photos page front and rear!! That stance looks sweet!! Give me a quick rundown of your wheel tire combo, sizes, backspecing of the rims, and the sizes of the tires. Are you runnin spacers on the rear??

I want to do the same to my 03 trailblazer 400!!!!

Silver Lake is a lot of fun!! I used to go there alot when I had my CR. I also drive my 4x4 trucks on the dunes. The terrain is different. Lots of loose powder sand and hardpacked for draggin! There are also some water holes to play on and around. I have rode my CR across the top of the water holes. Only possible with a paddle and SPEED!! I have'nt been there on a quad before so that is why I am asking for opinions on a good tire for the Sport. Unless you like having to wait in line for hours, try to not go there on holiday weekends. I've made that mistake about a dozen times. Thanks to those of you that replied and if there is any other tire that would suit my need please let me know.

Hey Zak

I'm running the rear with 20x11x10 with Red label douglas rims. The fronts are 23x7x10 on Red label rims. And yes I'm running Dura Blue wheel spacers. They work fine in the sand. I wouldn't recommend them if you plan on getting big air on a track or hard pack. The Hot Seat handlebars made a big difference in how well you can turn due to the lower bend. I totally love'em. They are pricey however. I got the tires and wheels from Rocky Mountain Atv. Best prices around. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask. See ya.
