i was at florence oregon dunes today and ran twice against what i (assume) was a 440ex and that thing was so fast it was all i could do to catch up even with him after getting beat off the line by a couple of quad lengths.i am used to getting beat off the line because i run a stock swingarm but it is usually pretty easy to catch up and beat most other four strokes but not this guy.my wife has a very fast 440 ex and it is nothing like this was just what could these guys be running to make them so fast? i tried to stop him and ask what he has done to his quad but he took off before i got a chance to ask him.drag racing is not the biggest part of my riding but like everyone else i dont enjoy losing especially to a 440 or whatever that guy was running today.i am also curious what could be in a 400 ex that looks like just a built 440 but can keep up with the alcohol banshees ,my wife and i saw a girl riding a 400 that was keeping right up with the alcohol banshees and we have wondered what that motor has in it to perform like that.i have no intention of trying to build a motor to keep up with the honda that was running with the banshees i just had no idea that these motors could be taken to that extreme ,i assume that they must be on nitrous.

 

AIRRAPTOR- was your friend with the 416 at florence this weekend because if that was him he is very fast .as i said drag racing is not really my thing but it is fun to try, and running against that honda was surprising as i did not expect it to jump out of the hole like that.i am working on getting a helmet camera set up for this summer at the dunes and if i do i will put some of my races from my point of view on this forum .
