Just had to laugh to myself a little when reading the thread about 01 Raptor owners. Not laughing at the owners, just that Yamaha doesnt want to do anything for the people that spent their money and got lots of problems. But they still laugh at us poor Polaris guys and dog us out. Not everyone, just some or most. I just find that a little entertaining. Maybe I am just nuts or need to go to sleep now?

I don't like to hear anybody losing motors no matter what the brand. I lost my 2nd gear in my Raptor and just shake my head when I hear of another 2nd gear failure. I feel for all 01 Raptor owners. It's just ridiculous that Yamaha won't help most people out or make a recall. USA Yamaha paid for my parts. That was only after I said either help me or I am done w/ Yamaha's. I also mentioned all my past Yammys and my current Vstar in my garage.. I will consider a new Yamaha down the road sometime, because I was helped w/ my tranny, even though I was not happy about the 2nd gear failure..

My best friend hates his even more not that I have the Predator, but he hasn't lost an engine yet, just two stator plates, starter gear, front shocks, rear bearings, reverse switch keeps breaking (3rd one). His biggest problem is that since getting his Raptor, his credit has gone downhill so he can't get the financing to make up the difference for the trade in.

Instant gratification ????

He shouldn't be financing the quad anyways.
He should save up and pay cash.

ProXPredator,

After reading that again the only way it could affect his credit rating is if he isn't making the payments.

Shame on him!!!!!!!!!

Buying the quad didn't effect his credit, getting laid off over winter from his construction job and having outgoing bill more than incoming money! Funny though, the quad was always paid for before the rent! lol
