Default 12.50's all around

Anyone running 28X12.50's all the way around? Catkrazy--I know you have the 27X12's all the way. How do they pull in the really sticky stuff. Mine just doesn't feel like it has the power to turn the big meats front and back. It lugs down alot right now with the skinnys up front. I have an intake and exhause snorkel though. I know that saps some power. Yes, I'm talking about Laws.

I had 28X12.50 Laws all the way around on a stock 450ES. It was okay until it got sticky, then I would have to get into 2wd to turn the tires over.

I'm asking because I need more floatation on the front. The Vamps are like weights up there. We ride in alot of deep water at Fun Wheeler.

Maximus has 28x12.5 Laws on all 4 and said he has no problem in the thick stuff.

I am running 28x12.5 laws in the rear and 28x8 zillas in the front. I have no performance mods yet and I hooked up to a grizzly last weekend that was stuck and spun all four from a dead stop on hard pack before he came out. I also got wedged real bad between 2 ruts and pulled out. Your bike should not bog in low range.

YES I AM RUNNING 12.5S X4 AND NO PROBLEM AND I WAS IN A BAD MUDBOG CONTEST THIS PAST WEEKEND. GO TO HIGHLIFTER AND GO TO PLACES TO RIDE AND THEN GO TO MANY ROTARY RIDE AND THERE IS A GUY THAT POSTED SOME PICTS OF THE HOLE. IT WAS DUG OUT WITH A DOZIER AND DID NOT HAVE NO BOTTOM TO IT JUST THICK MUD AND I COULD SPIN THE TIRES LIKE CRASY. ONLY THIN I HAVE DONE WAS GUT THE MUFFLER BY REMOVING 4 OF THE BAFFELS. THIS DID GIVE IT QUITE A BITE MORE POWER.

I just got the rearend back together and was going to go for a test ride around the house when I noticed my front tire was flat. Damnnnnnnnnnnnnn it!!!!!!!!!! It's blown up, about a 6in long hole all the was down the tread.

I will be shopping for a new set of front tires now. My choice is either 28X12.50 or 28X10.50 Laws. Since I already have the 28X12.50 Laws on the back I would like to run them on the front. I am running stock wheels with 1" spacers.

Sound alright?????/

Cat 500i

Yes My zillas pull Fine in the sticky stuff. Some power loss in reverse but all is good. I will scan the picture where i was pulling out the polaris. The hole was around 3 1/2 feet deep with ruts and it was solid mississippipi river delta Gumbo..the worst. And I pulled out just fine.

BUT!!!

I hear the zillas are designed to allow some minimum spinning to help clean off tires. I dont think the outlaws will do this, they are not designed to spin, but to pull.

Dirty howie told me this.

He is BIG BELIEVER IN THE ZILLAS

Can you guys clarify " EASY " ?? I mean do you consider just turning the tires in 1st gear enough? What I consider " EASY " is spinning the tires in 2nd gear or higher, wheel spin is king. I know with my 500i with my 26" outlaws on I can not get wheel spin in the thick stuff, it pulls no problem in 1st gear but that gets you no where.

Wheel spin is good in some instances and not in others.

With aggresive tires you will not have the luxury of spinning the tires in the hig end gears,it just will not happen. How many people do you know say yea! I can do donuts alot better with my swampers or zillas or outlaws,

When you start getting into the high end your talking about no low end. AC I think Has the best of both worlds. Great low end torque and a good high end. The Hondas may go faster then me, but he can pull through what i can beacuse he bogs down.

Its all about what you do with your bike! If y ou want to spin your tires go back to stock or get a banshee or other sport bike. Imean its just that simple I guess

I ordered the 28X10.50's today. They should be a happy meduim between super meats and skinny minny's. I am afraid of not being able to turn the 12.50's over. With snorkel's in and out and riding with my wife sometimes there is a lot of power being drained. They should be cool. Thanks for the input everybody.

Anytime CAT

Those outlaws are so awsome pulling tires!!! The will do what you want then to do, but they are very very very aggresive. For one day the guy you see in my pictures on the 400 KOD had 26 12x10 and 26 12 12 outlaws on. He could still sling the hell out of the mud and go anywhere any of us could.

Sometimes you have to sacrifice and swallow your pride. What I mean is I know that the big 28 laws look awsome and I know the AC can pull them. But think about how much better of you could be with a slighly small tire but with the same amount of tread.

The best thing aboout outlaws are the are true to size. WHich means when they say 26 inches they mean from sole to sale and tread to tread/ the 26 inch outlaws set as high as my zillas, and the weight is lighter by 3.2 lbs per tire
