Default Carburator jetting

I will be going to Colorado this summer to do some riding. I will need to change the carburator jet to a high altitude one. Is this hard to do? I have never played with any carburators before. After the jet is installed, what kind of adjustments need to be done to the carb?

Default Carburator jetting

It is not hard at all to change the main jet for altitude. Follow the guidelines of your owner's manual for jetting recommendations. All you have to do is get the carb off or lose enough to turn upside down, remove the float bowl, unscrew the biggest jet in the center of the carb. and replace it with the new size. (If you look at the carb upside down the main will be the tallest one) Put the bowl back on, carb back on, and you should be good to go.
