need some help

I have a 2002 Baja. I bought it used (two months old) cause I got a smokin deal. Only problem is I dont have an owners manual. Does anybody have a manual left over from a wheeler that they sold ? I would really appreciate it. Also, about a week after I got it, I bent the right tie rod a little. Now the bike shakes alot at about 50 mph. Should I have it straightened (it's not bent much), or buy a new one ? Finally, I thought I had the good battery in it. It's the Yusua (or however you spell it). This winter (I'm in New York) the battery kept dying in the garage. Now I gotta buy a new one. Other than that........it rocks !!!!!! We changed the front sprocket, Ron Woods CDI, modified end cap, and next will be a KN filter and jet kit. The monster is almost useless in the snow or mud..........and I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the forum. You certainly found the right place for getting help.
Yes get another tie rod.
Did you redo the toe out on the bike yet after it got bent?
If not do it. I set mine at 3/8" out. Others shoot for between 1/8 to 1/2"
If you have the black Yusa battery then I think that is the one considered the good one.

Yes....I have the black yuasa battery. I guess I just gotta buy a new one. How do you set the 3/8's on the tie rod ? Is that from the very end of the heim and measured out ? Thanks for the help.

The toe is the diff. between the measurement accross the front and the rear of the tire. Get on your bike and set the bars straight. Then measure the distance from the center of the left tire to the center of the right tire. take tis measurement across the front of the tires. Then do the same across the rear of the front tires. The diff in the two measurements is the toe. So if your measuremnt across the front is 47 1/2" and the measurment across the back was 47 1/8" you have 3/8" toe out.
To adjust the toe you twist the tire rods. That moves the front of the tires in or out. You also want to make sure you maintain the same distance to center of your bike on both front tires.
I once saw a page that had a good expaination of making toe adjustments. If I can find it I will post it for you
